Inside Look: Technology Powering BXP and Rudin’s Dock 72

In October 2019, CREtech hosted their annual CREtech New York conference in the new Dock 72 space at Brooklyn Navy Yard. In his welcome speech on Day 1, Michael Rudin, SVP of Rudin Management Company, gave the audience an overview of the groundbreaking development and shared highlights of Rudin Ventures.

Rudin Management Company, parent company of Prescriptive Data, co-owns Dock 72 with Boston Properties. Michael zoomed in on how Prescriptive Data’s Nantum OS runs Dock 72; the smartest office building in the world right now. He focused on three main interfaces within the Nantum OS ecosystem:

  • Nantum Core for building operators looking to optimize asset performance.

  • Nantum Workplace for corporate users and tenants to better manage their workspace and manage utility costs.

  • Nantum Tenant was also launched for the first time at Dock 72. The app allows tenants access, visitor management, amenities engagement, and real-time insights on transportation options. In turn, the app also allows building owners to better understand and respond to tenant needs.

Finally Michael Rudin highlighted some key points about Rudin Ventures, the venture arm of the Rudin Family which Michael also heads up.
