At Bisnow’s 2019 New York City State of the Market summit in October 2019, John Gilbert from Prescriptive Data / Rudin sat down with Ronald A. Kaplan from CohnReznick to chat about the future of the property tech in New York City.

John emphasized the need to “focus as a city on how we maintain our attractiveness” to potential companies looking to move or expand into New York City, citing sobering examples like Amazon’s failed HQ2 plans.

John also shared about Prescriptive Data’s conception and the integral role of technology in the real estate industry today. He shared how Nantum OS uses real-time data to improve building energy efficiency, amongst other smart building solutions.
