Prescriptive Data Selected By KPMG For Climate Accounting & Carbon Trading Program
Nantum OS, Prescriptive Data’s flagship software, will be deployed as part of KPMG’s Climate Accounting Infrastructure capability
NEW YORK, NY, October 7th, 2020 – Prescriptive Data, a privately-held smart building technology company focused on using artificial intelligence to optimize tenant comfort and decrease carbon emissions, announced yesterday that KPMG LLP (KPMG) has selected its flagship building operating system, Nantum OS, to be deployed as part of its new patent-pending blockchain capability, Climate Accounting Infrastructure (CAI).
KPMG’s CAI is intended to help organizations more accurately measure, report and offset their greenhouse gas emissions. Prescriptive Data is one of three industry groups, large technology players and climate technology companies that KPMG is partnering with to bring this new capability to market.
In 2020, organizations globally are expected to report sustainability practices and results to meet environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) demands of capital markets investors. At the same time, carbon emissions requirements continue to evolve and expand. In order to achieve both enterprise and compliance objectives, they need a trusted and transparent system to measure, account for, and report on emissions data.
Prescriptive Data supports verifiable emissions data across real estate portfolios with their intelligent building software, Nantum OS, which uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to capture and analyze building, occupancy, and environmental data. This data helps to optimize consumption, reduce emissions, and provide insight into carbon offsets and renewable energy certificates needed to achieve emissions goals.
“Nantum OS leverages cutting-edge AI technologies to memorize the rhythms of buildings, identify and amplify positive trends, dampen and attenuate negative trends, and deliver real-time recommendations to optimize the overall operations and, especially, the sustainability profile of buildings in all asset classes," said Sonu Panda CEO of Prescriptive Data. “For example, by providing organizations with a real-time analysis of their energy usage and GHG emissions, Nantum OS provides real estate owner/operators, enterprises, and utilities alike with both the situational awareness and command/control necessary to accurately measure and manage their exposure to climate risk and regulatory dictates. Nantum OS has already proven that its capabilities are good for the environment and good for business. We are excited to be working with KPMG on this important initiative.”

About Prescriptive Data
Established in 2015, Prescriptive Data is a privately held smart building technology company based in NYC, focused on the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, machine-learning, and artificial intelligence as applied to built spaces of any and all types, globally. Prescriptive Data’s suite of cloud-based applications is available for portfolio managers and building owners, building operators, and corporate tenants developing sustainability strategies.
Prescriptive Data’s mission is to become the de facto Building Operating System vendor by optimizing the built environment, replenishing the earth and enriching the human experience. Nantum OS, Prescriptive Data’s flagship product, unlocks correlated trends and analyzes data from disparate building systems (including BMS, utility & power quality meters, and access control) and combines this with data from third-party sources (such as weather, occupancy, and IoT sensors) to prescribe operational adjustments in real-time that improve building performance and tenant comfort. Other Prescriptive Data product offerings include Nantum Workplace, a solution designed for enterprise tenants looking to optimize real-time operations across their leased spaces, and Nantum Tenant, a mobile app which enhances the experience for all stakeholders interacting with various IT/OT systems in the modern built environment.
